DAVID TAYLOR OWEN BROWN It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved David. On December 27, 2010, David died suddenly when he was unable to catch his breath. His death was quick and he is now in the presence of his Abba God, our Father. Beloved husband to Anne Brown (nee Sibley), wonderful Step- father/Dad to Daniel Uy, Chris Uy and Christine James and a great Poppa to his grandson Jesse James Uy. Dearest nephew to Betty Rhind (nee Brown). David was born and raised in Scarborough. His father Ted and his mother Shirley Brown (nee Owen) owned and operated Ted Brown Shoes in Knob Hill Plaza from 1954 to 1990. David loved fitting children in their first baby boot. David also had a career at Sears in the hardware department. He always loved to serve his customers and he did it well. David was in his 54th year and even though he has had a few major illnesses he still loved to be among his family and friends, encouraging and praying for them. He will be sadly missed by so many people. The family will receive friends at the OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday 12-1 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Ogden chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Private family interment.
