GIBBS, Joan I. - Departed peacefully on January 25, 2012. Beloved wife of Cyril B. Gibbs for 55 years. Mother of Laura Willems, Andrew Gibbs, Nicole MacRae and Reina Barker. Loving grandmother of 10. Sister of Marylyn, Antony, Errol Chapman and Ann Spooner. The family will receive friends for viewing at the Malvern Presbyterian Church, 1301 Neilson Rd., Scarborough, on Monday, January 30th at 11 a.m. Funeral service at 12 noon.

It was with great shock that I received the news of Aunty Joan's death. I still cannot believe it has actually happened. She was a charming lady and a special person. She shall be missed dearly. Rest in peace Aunty Joan. Love ya

Dear Ann and the rest of the family. We are deeply saddened at the passing of Joan. Although we have not seen each other for over 50 years we do remember our childhood days in the 1930's and 1940's. Our deepest sympathy to all the family and May Her Soul Rest In Peace.

Tears have fallen, hearts where shattered, but it was time for you to fly home. Your loved ones came to say their last goodbyes, to tell you they loved you, and that you will be forever missed.
